SIGN ON WITH MORE SECURITY, MORE CONTROL, MORE CONVENIENCE.
The new OnePass account registration will allow you to log on to multiple West applications with a single username and password – and enjoy greater security and control. You can make the change starting November 1, 2009.
- More secure - New usernames and passwords will have more secure character requirements. Because you create your own username and password, they will be easier to remember and only you will know what they are.
- More control - Rather than having a password assigned to you by West, you will choose your own username and password. If you forget your password, you can reset it yourself.
- One profile for multiple applications - You will be able to use the same username and password with Westlaw Business and other related applications such as My Account, west.thomson.com, Westlaw, Westlaw Tax, Compliance Advisor, lawschool.westlaw.com, Westlaw International, Westlaw CourtExpress, Westlaw Calendaring, QuickView+ and more.
When to switch.
New OnePass username and password requirements will be rolled out in phases starting November 1, 2009. If you already have a West account, you will be prompted to create a new username and password during your scheduled phase.
The early bird gets the worm.
Regardless of your scheduled rollout phase, you can create and register your new username and password any time after November 1, 2009. Registering early improves your chances of securing the username of your choice.
NOTE: If you already access Westlaw Business or other West applications using a self-chosen username and password, and they do not meet the new, stronger security requirements, you will be asked to update them on or before your scheduled rollout date.
